CORE RADIANCE is a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® studio in Williamstown, MA, near Williams College. At Core Radiance our goal is to help you re-discover and restore your body to it's best functionality. The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and Gyrokinesis classes both use fluid, three-dimensional, rhythmic movements with accompanying breathing patterns. If you are ready to get out of pain and connect to your deepest source of strength and vitality, this is the place for you! Return to the sport you once loved or maybe you want to try a new activity you didn't think you could ever do. The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is a whole body movement system using key principles from swimming, gymnastics, yoga, dance and Tai Chi. With assistance from uniquely designed equipment, fluid continuous movements release energy throughout the body sourced by our core strength. Creating power with ease, while unloading the joints, helps reveal your ideal posture, allowing your bone structure to, once again, work with gravity. Various breathing patterns are incorporated into all movements. Getting people to breath deeply and effectively is probably one of the most effective things I do. Gyrotonic private sessions are 1-2 hours.
Gyrokinesis classes, (currently unavailable due to COVID) you sit on a stool, on the floor, or standing. Classes are 1 1/-2 hours.
Private sessions is uniquely designed for each client.
LOWER BACK PAIN // Practicing Gyrotonic exercise regularly can greatly improve poor posture and lessen back pain by lengthening the spine and strengthening your core stabilizing muscles. Learning how to move your pelvis, connect the ribcage and use your shoulder blades to rest allows your shoulders to relax into right position so the spine can lengthen upward from your core stabilizers. You feel taller, aligned and supported with dignity.
ELIMINATING TOXINS // The continuous movement - arching, curling, spiraling, side arching, waving - and corresponding breathing patterns prevent stagnation in the body and promote removal of waste and stimulate lymph fluids.
SCULPTING LONG, LEAN MUSCLES // The adjustable weights of the Gyrotonic Pully Tower and combined extending and expanding help build longer, leaner muscles.
FOCUS // All movements use coordinated breathing as the bridge between body and mind, demanding full focus and presentness. You will leave your session feeling released, connected and refreshed in mind, body spirit.
